Impotence Augments Likelihood of Heart Disease

June 11, 2007

If the recent study conducted by Lund University of Sweden is to be believed, now impotent men have to become extra conscious. According to the study, impotence significantly contributes to the early onset of heart diseases such as atherosclerosis in men. With the help of the study, Physician Rasmus Borguist dully proved that men with impotence are more prone to risk factors of heart ailments.

“During one of our studies, we found that healthy men suffering from impotence indicate early symptoms of atherosclerosis in the heart’s coronary arteries.  While in one another study, men with impotence have shown a higher rate of high blood pressure, abdominal fat, high blood fat, and other related risk factors for the occurrence of heart disease," he states.

In the end, it can be concluded that impotent men must take medicinal aid as soon as possible, as both impotence and the odds of heart diseases can be diminished with early precautions and care. Lifestyle changes, smoking cessation, balanced diet and exercise are few measures that men suffering from impotence must implement at first place. In case, these measures don’t meet one’s requirements, one can take up the help of blood pressure and blood fat lowering drugs in addition to pharmacological therapy to keep an eye on impotence.

“Other studies have also proved that sexual potency improves more quickly in men who relinquish smoking and lose weight," adds Rasmus Borgquist.

The concept that there is a relation between impotence and heart disease was asserted in the mid 1980s, but is subjected to serious study only in the past few years.
